Fantastic, stays hot for hours I bought a smaller, similar looking, theramal carafe for tea. It stays hot for a long time, until after it is first used, then seems to cool quickly I now put very strong tea in the smaller carafe, does not matter when cool, because I add the very hot water from this new larger carafe; and able to sip hot tea all day... and into the night. It's great
