Product Description
Not Easy to Damage
Mango wood is a hard wood. Having a wooden vase is a great option for homes with children and pets where things get knocked over easily.
Beautiful Accent Piece
The skill of the handicraft people in Thailand villages shows in this product. The log is hollowed with a chisel then carved and painted.
Tips for Filling the Vase
This vase is not very heavy & the opening is 3.5 inches wide. Use narrow stems & not a very top heavy arrangement.
The Right Composition
This is down to personal taste. If you want a colorful display add longer stems of artificial flowers at the back and smaller ones at the front.
Getting the Right Height
Short or tall arrangements can actually look good in this vase. Build an arrangement that is up to 20 inches above the top lip of the vase.
Making it Hold in Place
You can add stones, sand or scrunched up balls of paper if you need to add weight to the vase. This can also act as a platform for the stems inside.
How big are these vases?
Available in three heights of 28 inches, 22 inches and 16 inches tall. For reference a standard door is 80 inches tall. The opening of all the vases is 3.5 inches wide although there are slight variations as this product is made from a tree.
Will this vase sit well on different types of floors?
The base is flat but the vases are not heavy. If you want to put the vase on a carpeted floor or to have a large arrangement in it you would be best to add some sand or stones inside the vase to add weight and give it stability.
What is the smell of the vase?
The mango wood is chiselled, carved and painted. When you open the box and sniff inside the vase you will be able to smell the fruity charred mango wood. This smell is quite pleasant and will actually diminish over a few months.
