I love this apple peeler. This is the second one I buy. I let a friend borrow my first apple peeler and I never got it back. Had to order another one. It works great on apples and pears. I used the peeler blade for canning apple pie filling. Would like the option of peeling and coring only but that is not an option. This is a must item in your kitchen if you have apple and pear trees. Love it. Buy one!

Great Peeler!
I took a risk ordering this peeler without even one review to go on, but it was worth the risk. This peeler arrived sooner than expected which was great. It has quality construction and the suction cup is really tight and adheres great to my granite countertop. I first tried to peel an overripe pear with no success. I then tried an apple, and it worked perfectly! I imagine that a firm pear would also work well, just don't use it on anything soft. I tried using it on a white potato, but that didn't do so well due to the lumpiness of it. It might work just fine for small round firm potatoes. I mainly got it to slice apples anyway, and it is fabulous for that. I would definately recommend this peeler.
