Perfect compact Smoke and Fire Alarm
This smoke alarm fit on the ceiling outside my bedroom, in the hall way just perfect. I had been with Life Alert and they provided a smoke alarm but I sent it back with their other equipment. I needed a new smoke alarm and this First Alert had all the features I wanted plus a silencer. It is a compact alarm and uses a 9 volt battery which are available every where, this one came included in the package!

I seen many complaints about the battery door, I guess it takes at least a middle school education to realize you have to take out the battery that is facing upwards for display and put it back in upside down and shut the door. Fully functionally basic model easy to use.
