Arrived defective
It arrived promptly but I was unable to plug it in due to a defective part. Epson customer service directed me to the nearest service location. And they determined they would have to get a replacement which they said would arrive in 3-5 days. The gentleman said he would make sure it was in working order before I picked it up. So I cannot speak to the product but was very impressed with customer service.

LOVE it!
As a watercolor artist living in a small area 180 miles away from any GOOD print shop, my original art pieces had to be mailed back and forth from here to a shop to scan, mailed back to me, then mailing the final prints to the cliental. A LOT of unnecessary time and money in postage and insurance spent to achieve what we now can do in house in minutes. I have more control of the end result in color correction if needed and a faster turn around time in workflow. The software Silverfast 8 that is included (I have upgraded to the full suite of Silverfast 8) is very easy and accurate to use. Good equipment is an investment, but I have NEVER regreted this purchase once!!! My full workflow consists of: Windows 7 Epson 11000XL scanner, ASUS ProArt Monitors Photoshop CS6 Epson P800 Printer

Working with excellence
It is nice to have such quality piece of equipment. It profiles easily and seems to stay in balance for a long time. The scanning surface is large enough to capture most things I need to scan in one shot and when I need to tile there is enough overlap for a perfect image merging via Photoshop.
