Great tool

I have two electric models that I love but hate having to take them to do little things because of the extras I have to take, and this model allows me to grab and go and perform the small things with ease

Great tool!!

I haven't used saw a lot yet but has worked wonderful so far. Using to cut tongue and groove for walls and is doing a great job. Also have a 12" and wanted something smaller for trim and smaller projects and is real handy for transport for doing just a couple cuts that a circular saw wouldn't be as great at. I would get another one in a heart beat!!

Excellent little trim saw capable of framing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought this little saw and the small Dewalt stand to go with it, it was with a little trepidation. I was concerned about the ability to cut 2x material with speed and precision. However, I have Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis and needed a lighter saw for my smaller quicker projects. I must admit I was quite surprised by the strength and portability of this little saw. The one drawback I initially experienced was the splintering of prefinished moulding on the exit side of my cuts. I found this quite irritating and contemplated returning the saw. But I was so pleased with the weight and portability of the saw I I decided to invest a little more in it first. So I replaced the blade, bought a couple 6 amp hr batteries for it and slowed down on my cuts a little. Happily that was the solution and the splintering issue was eliminated. This little saw became my "go to" saw and with the larger batteries it would trim all day on one charge with one battery. However, it would not cut 2x all day on one battery. Although only once during that remodel did I need to replace the pack a third time in one day but, I was reframing the 2x8 floor above 12" oc for a new bath as well using Douglas fir. So I was working the little saw pretty hard. In comparison though I would have had to bring in a set of horses and my heavy worm drive saw, extension cords and done major cleanup. That said, I still needed to clean up a fair amount of sawdust. I think the dust collection on the saw itself could be improved.
