This is a fun facts book all about human biology, with a focus on engaging and helping kids learn while having a great deal of fun. Yet, I think, it adds to regular learning to supplement and enlarge our understanding of the body and how it really works — well beyond the basics. The full-page retro-style illustrations are colorful and fun, with the opposite pages offering a specific fun fact, along with a supplementary factoid which enlarges on the basic principles suggested by the former. For example, I didn't realize that when you yell or scream, your ears contract so they don't get hurt. Now I know why people can't always tell how loud they are talking! Then, the accompanying factoid explains how to simply change the sound of your voice as you hear it, too.
