I was born in Hawaii. Taking off one's shoes before entering one's abode is a sign of respect and cleanliness. I suffer from dry cracked feet, and regularly apply a moisturizing petrolatum ointment; …but then what? Cotton socks would just absorb the ointment, instead of keeping it my feet. But unless I cover my feet, it makes a sticky mess on my sheets, leaves tracks on the floor, and may even be slippery to walk on. Then I discovered that these shoe covers are waterproof, I filled one with water and it held it like a plastic bag. They are tough enough to not tear when I walk around in them. They are large enough to cover my feet from heel to toe. And the cost is very affordable. So now, after I apply foot ointment, I put these shoe covers directly on my feet, under a pair of cotton socks, and they keep the ointment on my feet longer. Plus, I can walk or sleep without worrying about making a mess. These shoe covers may not have been the intended for this purpose, but they are the best solution I have found. Perfect for anybody who treats dry cracked feet with ointment. Maybe these shoe covers should be marketed for this purpose? I'll bet millions of people around the world who treat dry cracked feet with ointment would benefit from them. These shoe covers solved my problem. Thanks for a great product!
