Fits beside our cats house perfectly not big bulky not too small! We have two large cats and they both use it and LOVE IT I use a dollar tree drying Matt for it to sit on > I refill once every day. I have seen the filter / drain area will catch some cat hair every once and awhile just from our long hair cats hair floating around . Great waterer and nightlight combined.

I had a pet fountain and my very finicky cat simply would not drink out of it. Every time I went to the bathroom, she would jump up on the sink and meow wa-wa until I would turn on the sink to drip. I decided that perhaps she wanted more of a single stream than a waterfall so I decided to try this one. It also serves as a nightlight for my bathroom and since it is powered by a USB, it doesn't take up room on the outlet like the other one does. In the event of a power outage, I can hook it up via a pre-charged power block. That way I can have both flowing water AND a light for the bathroom. After a week or so of use, the cat will still beg for faucet water, but she will drink out of this as well. I feel better knowing that she'll at least use this one. The other cats have no problem with the other unit so I'll put it in another section of the house. My only 'con' and it's simply a personal preference, is I wish I could stop the light from changing colors. My bathroom colors are blue and white and the unit is blue and clear but then the lights change to red, green, yellow, blue, etc.... You also cannot turn the lights off--that I know of.
