The secure aluminum lid allows you to keep the heat (steam) sealed inside. Remove the steamer and use as a large stockpot. The stockpot is easy to clean and has a polished shine exterior. The steamer is extremely durable and will last your family for years. The following disclosure of intentionally added California Candidate Chemicals in this product is being provided in compliance with California Health and Safety Code sections 109010, et seq. Aluminum 7429-90-5, 2-Naphthalenecarboxylic acid, 4-[(5-chloro-4-methyl-2-sulfophenyl) azo]-3-hydroxy-, magnesium salt (1:1) 71832-83-2. Great for cooking, steaming, and versatile use.

Please keep in mind I have only used this pot once. Also, I picked it up in store, so I was able to check for any dents or defects. I bought this to boil a large corned beef brisket that was not going to fit in my spaghetti pot. I purchased the 32 quart. I wanted something inexpensive bc this is not a pot I will be using often. (It's HUGE!). This pot is aluminum, not stainless steel, so don't expect something heavy duty. The pot served its purpose without any issues. I am happy with this purchase.
