I've been shopping for a tv for 4 years. I had a 15 year old Samsung LCD tv that worked still, so I was not pressured to buy something. And I didn't want just any tv or spend thousands on it. I looked hard at the LG OLEDs, the Samsung QLEDs, the Sony XBR. I did some more searches for tv reviews and this Vizio kept coming up. Watching sports was a top priority for the tv and it had to handle motion blurring well. This Vizio kept scoring in right behind the LG OLED but was less than half the cost. This one sounded like a winner and I finally pulled the trigger. I'm not disappointed! This tv is BRIGHT. If you look at some of the cheaper models, then you know what I mean. This lights up the room (can be adjusted too). Looks great and has tons of features. I pulled up a game on YouTube, and it looked awesome. Great detail. Smooth motion. I could actually see a pass where the ball wasn't a blurry mess. It was never more fun to watch the Vols lose to my Dawgs again! Movies look great too. Very pleased with this purchase.

Not The Best
black levels are really deep and Rich majority of the time, and if that's why you're buying a television then you'll be happy. That said if you move even slightly off-center you will be greeted with bad black levels. Also every time you turn on the TV there is blotchiness and clouding everywhere, until you start watching normal content. You can still run into blooming so you're not entirely safe, especially on really challenging grayscale images. Oddly enough black looks really good, but gray I've seen a significant amount of blooming on. For example the Xbox One home menu, that had so much blooming it was nearly unbearable. Colors are horrible out of the box, and you will need to professionally calibrate this display. After professionally calibrating the color is impressive. Motion is terrible, it breaks apart and doesn't look the best, even if you use soap opera effect. There are too many audio drops to quantify, as every time I was streaming or watching a movie I ran into this problem. Whether I was using my soundbar, or the on-board speakers I still ran into this issue. I measured the peak brightness around a little over 600 nits, not exactly what I call the brightest TV out there. An HDR I got no higher than 900 nits. the input lag outside of game mode is horrendous. It is pretty unplayable and feels like you're trying to squeeze Frozen syrup through a bottle. So you have to use game mode all the time. HDMI 5 is a total joke, because it doesn't support HDR, and you can't use the calibration test patterns built into the TV. the operating system is the worst on the market, having absolutely no built-in voice control whatsoever. You also do not have an App Store, so if you don't like what's in the TV tough. I did like though that you could customize picture presets, and name them. Which basically gave you the ability to do this multiple times, and this is a great feature. Basically you can create your own picture preset mode, and use it across every single source. no other company offers this right now, and this is a win for Vizio. Overall though if I had to say whether I would buy the CD for personal use or not, I would have to pass. Vizio just dropped the ball in way too many categories for this to Warrant the price point that they are charging. If it goes on super sale then it might be worth it, but as it stands right now I couldn't recommend it.

Best tv

Woooow. This is the best tv ever invented. So simple to use and set up. I love how quick the set up was. The voice commands with Alexa and google are easy to use. We had it set up while family were here for the holidays and everyone was so amazed at the picture and color quality. Pretty thin tv so it can be well mounted and that was a quick step. One of my favorite parts of this tv is if or when I lose my remote I can still control my tv all from my phone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Features

I bought this unit about a month ago and have enjoyed everything it has to offer.

Great picture... Can't wait to turn it on every night .. 5 Star Rating

Pretty darn nice !

Remarkable picture , mediocre sound . For those who read a very thorough 2 star review he/she is probably correct about everything but for those of us not as demanding it's pretty good . I also researched further and the issue of screen quality loss at off center viewing is real if compared to a much more expensive Sony . But pic is good up to 25 degree either side of center , that's greater than I need . Viewable beyond a definite decline . Roku is much better than the Vizio system , I had one from my last tv so added it to this one . OK since I really preferred Vizio ability to connect phone or other devices . Hope this helps someone .

SPECTACULAR PICTURE.

Bought this TV as an upgrade to the "coveted" TCL 6 series(55") television every YouTuber is in love with and I must say it is a VERY nice step up in picture quality and a very nice improvement in color, HDR pop, sustained brightness, and most importantly PANEL UNIFORMITY AND QUALITY CONTROL. The TCL was good, after my FIFTH agonizing return and replacement. This Vizio P-Series Quantum 2019 is as far as my experienced eyes can tell, perfect. Colors are SPECTACULAR, HDR is EYE POPPING, and all blacks are INKY smooth and imperceptible from "OLED TRUE black". Highly highly highly recommend this 65" P-Series Quantum 2019 for anyone looking for top tier performance at a mid-low tier price.

Vizio Tv

Just decided to get 65” Vizio instead of the LG or Samsung and I am content. Only thing is that I have had to reset tv a couple to reconnect to my WiFi and have had a hard time connecting my SmartCast app to tv but over than that it is ok. The picture looks just as good as any other tv I would say.

Hello QTV, thank you for your feedback ti is appreciated. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark.

Awful picture

So I bought this tv for around 1200 dollars after reading reviews that recommended it highly . When I got it set up the colors were awful with a lot of shadowing and distortion. I tried every setting I could try as well as did factory reset twice without any good results. Finally took it back and bought a regular 4k HD for half the price which was great right out of the box.
