I wished this would have complemented the colors I already have established in the room. I needed a crisp and classic-looking valance. The high quality of this one is just as I would have made myself, which is probably what I must do. Home sewing is more expensive these days, so I was trying to avoid it! I will look for this brand again to avoid getting out my sewing machine! It is pure cotton and lined, very well-sewn. Classy! I wish it did not have to be returned!
