Ridgid Press Jaw,PEX,1/2 in Pipe 17008

I tend to slightly fall into the category of "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" , when it comes to certain change. To me, installing Pex tubing, as opposed to copper piping, was lowering my standards of quality. However, once I actually used it, there is no comparison, when it comes to speed. I had my doubts about the integrity of the fittings not leaking. It proved me wrong. As of yet, not one leak. Also, the lack of joints and fittings needed to install Pex, cuts down on potential leaks as well. I personally like the Viega brand fittings. These jaws are the only jaws specifically needed for that brand of fitting. They perform perfectly. Especially if you have a bit of an issue with space, and trying to get the Propress jaws square to the fitting. They will pretty much square themselves upon crimping the joint ! This was a case of the student, teaching the teacher !!
