Rugged. GREAT refill improvement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best chalk reels I've worked with. - Best feature - easy to refill through twist-open cap. - Twist-open cap also makes it easy to untangle twine (which inevitably happens every once in a while). - Line carries chalk well. - Only con: the standard string is a little light ... hasn't failed, but just feel like need to be a little careful with it to keep it from snapping. It feels like it wants to snag on the feed guide sometimes. - OTOH: the feed guide is 'floating' -- so it adapts to the line a little better. - Red chalk works well.

Awesome Metal construction!

This DeWalt chalk reel kit has been a great addition to my tool arsenal. I really like the new 6 to 1 gear ratio. This allowed me to pull the cord easily and quickly. The materials of this chalk reel are second to none. Both the body and the reel handle are made of metal, not plastic! It really gives me piece of mind knowing that I can take this tool with me on any job-site, and not worry if it will survive the rigors of day to day use. The small changes that were made have a big impact with this DeWalt chalk reel. The oversized fill opening with the twist lock makes it really easy to fill when needed. Also, the large stainless steel hook allows easy latching for quick applications. Overall, I was very happy with this great tool. I will be using the DeWalt chalk reel for years to come. If you need an easy to use, well built, tough tool I definitely recommend this DeWalt Chalk Reel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Caulking Squared Upd Stucco

I'm using this to mark perfect squares on stucco walls. Caulking line to do concrete walls. The walls are perfect squared from using the string. I know where I left off where the mark is. I finished with motar and stucco and came out great. The power refill is nice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
