InSinkErator HWT300 InSinkErator HWT300 Digital Instant Hot Water Tank

We bought this to replace a Reverse Osmosis faucet that was in our kitchen. We have the RO in the basement and tubes going up into the kitchen above it. The tubes split into the fridge and the separate drinking water faucet on the side of the sink. We chose to hook the hot water tank up to the RO. This is not standard and it does create a few problems due to low pressure but it is not the tank's fault. We thought the unit was broken when we first got it but after allowing enough time for the RO bladder and the tank to both fill with water everything worked fine. Our well water is just not useable with only a filter or we would have done the filter option. We did get an InSinkerator faucet from one vendor and the tank from another as no one had both the more modern / simple faucet in Oil Rubbed Bronze and the digital tank at the same time for reasonable prices. Both items work well, our only issue being that sometimes the faucet drips right after you use and it sometimes it takes a second or two to turn on but I suspect both are related to the RO. The tank is quieter than everything else in the kitchen. The first few times I didn't even know it was doing anything. Our dishwasher, fridge, oven, and stove vent are all louder than the tank. My husband installed it without much hassle. We previously had a garbage disposal in that sink so I think some wiring already existed for him to use. I drink 5 cups of herbal tea a day and my husband drinks about 12-15 cups of decaf tea daily. We have also used it to make water boil on the stove faster for pasta (electric cooktop), and because our regular hot water takes 5 minutes to reach our kitchen sink. we have used it mixed with cold water in a cup to wash the dog's muddy paws and stuff like that. Highly recommend for anyone who uses a tea kettle more than once a day.

Installed along with the twin faucet in 2019. Worked great for 4 years then the heater pooped out. While I was looking at the unit I noticed it had been leaking from the aspirator line. This is the hot water output of the unit. Turns out the fitting had failed. Wasn't a huge leak, but enough to make a mess. We are on a well and have a water softener. I bought a replacement HWT-300. I also needed to replace the failed fitting, but the Insinkerator site didn't offer that piece. Found it online.
