Best knife available for plasterboard

I have found these knives to be the best available for cutting plasterboard. The thin tapered handle allows for excellent control when cutting while also holding a tape measure in the classic "pinched" grip. They are also lightweight and fit the hand well. I prefer the fixed blade aspect as it means less moving parts, and less work for me. It is a real shame we can no longer seem to find these available in australia. Currently i have three, but i must have bought more than 10 over the years, it would seem my workmates also like this knife as they do go missing from time to time.

Finally, a great Drywall knife!

I'm a Union Journey Framer/Drywaller in the Bay Area. All I've been able to find until this knife were chunky/heavy/stubby knives. With this knife I can firmly pinch the tape right against the blade for accurate consistent cuts. It's light, so it doesn't add a lot to my overall bag weight throughout the day. It's easily half the weight of any Stanley you can find on the rack. The only thing I would modify is the notches that hold the blade in place. I'd really like to have more exposed blade. It feels a bit recessed. I know that some blades (Lennox) have an extra punchout in the blade so you can get a lot more length. The problem IS, that most contractors buy the cheapest garbage blades to give out. If you could improve this, that would be great. Quite frankly I don't know why the other comments are so negative?

Great design, well built

Bought this knife over a decade ago, lasted the entire time with daily use cutting Plasterboard. Great design, worked great in combination with a tape for cross cutting. Only failed once so many blades had been through it the lugs holding the blade in wore through. Sadly seems like this has been discontinued at least in Australia. Would like to get my hands on another.
