Ultra Accel Folding Saw

I looked at several reviews and videos of the Silky Saws on the internet. All said that this was THE saw to have. All other reviews were about the straight blade models, the curved blade is NEW. This curved blade is phenomenal! VERY aggressive, very smooth. Makes short work of many cutting tasks. Weighs just under 11 ounces and is 11.75" long (folded). It has large (6.4 PPI) hardened, "tri-cut" (the teeth have three cutting edges). I bought this as a backpacking saw to use on the trail. IMHO it is a much better alternative than an axe (lighter, smaller, easier to use, cuts green or dry wood easily). Far fewer strokes to cut, than any other saw out there. Faster with less effort, equals more calories and energy saved to do the same job. Heavy duty aluminum body, soft rubber armor for a sure grip, ergonomically designed for effortless cutting. Although the body is metal and not plastic, it is not that much heavier than other less durable saws. Replaceable blades save money in the future. It has a strong, chromed steel blade locking mechanism. The lanyard hole is large enough to easily thread a loop of paracord through. This is a 10" saw blade and is a great work horse, but I hope that Silky comes out with one of their smaller, more compact, saws (maybe a 6") with a curved blade. That would save a little space and weight in my pack when it really counts. And I got this for about 2/3 the price of anywhere else! Great saw, great price, you will be quite happy with your purchase!
