I purchased this rod to do duel duty, freshwater bassin and inshore redfish, snook and trout. I wanted the 7'6" MY/Fast spinning for its backbone and capability. I paired it with a new PENN 4000 Pursuit II spinning reel filled with 50# braid over 12# mono. Though I haven't yet had a fishing trip and hookup, I am extremelyy happy with the balance, feel, sensitivity and remarkable casting accuracy and distance achieved in practice. The rod feels like I've been using it for years. I have four other ugly sticks, 3 spin and 1 bait cast. I expect this to be my flipping favorite rod. I can't be happier with it. Shipping was pretty fast and damage free packaging.

Awesome pole

I liked the way the 7'6" medium inshore worked with my 3000 reel that I ordered a medium heavy pole for my 4000 reel to replace the pole on it. Both are superior poles for handling. I can cast for hours. Have caught big red's w/ ease. Still handles the small fish too. Like them so much I am gonna fish for catfish and salmon in rivers up north! We travel America fishing in retirement and I take these poles eveywhere
