A activity for 1st graders

Kids definitely have to put in the work to unearth the dinosaurs, so it's not a quick activity. My students spent more than an hour to get the dinosaur out, and they loved every minute! The plaster or whatever material the egg is made of can be messy and dusty, so maybe have a shoe box or something for them to work in to contain the mess.

Was a great time for my little excavator.

He loves the eggs. The eggs did not have to be soaked in water first, but handy to have water to rinse the excavation tools. The little dinosaurs inside the eggs were of decent quality. The cards that came with the eggs, though, had several that were incorrectly printed. The pictures and the information did not always match. The word chess for the game mat is a little misleading, but fun. And having 12 eggs makes it last longer. Overall, a wonderful product, and I recommend it.
