I was nervous to spend my money on this mower because of the mixed reviews, but I've been eyeing it for a while, and it went on sale. I just got this mower delivered today. I put it together as soon as it arrived. It was simple. Although the directions weren't quite clear because they pertained to multiple models. All it took was some common sense to put it together. It started on the first pull with no issues. My yard has an incline. The mower didn't struggle to go uphill when using the self propeller. I like how it does not jerk forward as soon as you accelerate. It's easy to maneuver and maintain control of. Going slow when slightly squeezed and fastest when fully squeezed. It cuts like butter and left no crumbs, not a single straggler. This is a great budget mower, I like it, and I highly recommend it.

Bought this troybilt self propelled to replace my 13 yr old Toro self propelled.Just mowed my 150 by 150 lot and so far I like the mower,definitely was easy to assemble most of it was ready out of the box.I added the oil that was provided and put the gas to it and fired up on the second pull.The self propelled takes a little bit to get used to just don't squeeze the handles all the way back or it will take off a little to fast,squeeze them gently to move the mower and squeeze a little more for your walking pace.Overall I feel it is a good mower for the price and time will tell will a few more hrs of mowing.
