It's a beautiful piece. Next to my bed is a space that's about a foot wide, with obstacles. I had no idea things like this existed. This was the only one I could find that was wood all the way down. There's no opening underneath an open drawer. I'm fortunate that my husband can fix or build anything. I suggest getting someone to help. We got it done in just over an hour. You really have to go at this methodically and follow the directions. We got it together and in place. The drawers are small, but you'd be amazed what you can put in there. It's a very attractive piece and I'm able to use a sleep speaker right next to my bed. I did affix a power hub with 2 plugs and 4 usb slots. The cabinet is covered in a light oak veneer. It's very strong too. It's much better looking in person than in the picture. This has been a game changer for me as I'm handicapped. I have really great organization because of this cabinet. I absolutely love it!
