Very sturdy umbrella stand

This stand was simple to assemble, and fits under our table. The stand is very sturdy and holds our 9 ft. umbrella in place. No extra weights required... 50 lbs. is very strong. The shipping was free and price was reasonable. This comes in many colors as well. It is a good buy!

Heavy and sturdy.

Very sturdy, umbrellas no longer fall over. But don't leave this out all winter with umbrella in it. The wind will rock and cause the threads to strip, making it useless.

Well-built Umbrella Stand

This is a very well-built umbrella stand and looks nice. I am using it with an 11 ft umbrella for a patio table. Stand has rubber cushions on bottom which prevents scratching on composite wood decks. The upper pipe comes in two sections: one is 6 1/2"" long and the other is 11"" long. The base is a little under 3"" high. You can use the pipes separately (although only the 6 1/2"" section will screw into the base) or you can screw together. Being able to use only the shorter sectionof pipe is important if using for a patio table because the total height needs to be able to fit under the patio table cross-piece through which the umbrella pole has to pass (for my table, that is 14"" high). For patio tables, use the 6 1/2"" pipe plus base (total height about 9 1/2""). For free-standing, you want to use the full 17 1/2"" of both pipes screwed together. The pipe is 2"" OD and 1 5/8"" ID (inside diameter). I am using with a 1 1/2"" diameter pole. Although I don't think I need extra weight for use with the patio table, I like that you can add a Treasure Garden 30 pound weight underneath the stand to make it free-standing for an 11 ft umbrella (total 80 lbs).
