Tranformers PSP Review

Overall, the game is good. Not amazing, but worth buying. There is a campaign mode that loosely follows the movie's storyline, and goes deeper into the epic struggle between the autobots and the decepticons. It is fun having the ability to transform at any time. The campaign mode allows players to use many other transformer not shown in the film. Although players can not choose characters for each level (characters are assigned to different levels), they can pick from the 20+ robots in the intense multiplayer modes. The graphics, though not the best I've seen for the PSP, are good quality. There is little to no problem with the camera angles. And the controls are easy to learn. Unfortunately, the lack of a free-play mode really sets it apart from the other handheld games (Transformers: Autobots and Transformers: Decepticons for the Nintendo DS). But the little unlockables in each level (primarily concept art) is a good extra for fans of the series. I give this game a 4 out of 5.
