The ziplock bag is a big plus for keeping the rice fresh after opening, though I do wish it came in a sturdier container for even easier cupboard storage. Each 1/4 cup (uncooked) serving has about 160 calories, 0g fat, 36g carbs, 0g fiber, 0g sugars, and 3g protein... naturally sodium-free, gluten-free, and with no preservatives. The rice is Non-GMO Project Verified, which is great for peace of mind, though this specific product is not organic. Happy to see this being organic... organic options are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, can have slightly higher nutrient or antioxidant content, and offer greater environmental benefits. I'd love to see MORE organic options on Walmart's shelves in the future. This Mahatma rice is super easy to use and always delivers great results for meals!

Because regular rice has gotten worse, I switched to Jasmine Rice, and I'm glad I did. Much higher quality and flavor. It really makes a huge difference when you're making Spanish rice or a traditional Asian dish. It's a little more expensive but definitely worth it.
