We love to make homemade ice cream at home and I used to always store it in a reusable Ziploc container. But it would quickly get freezer burn. This ice cream tub is the perfect size to hold a batch of our homemade ice cream. It also has an airtight seal to keep out the freezer burn. Great value!

After receiving this ice cream storage container, I realized I should have ordered the smaller version. But if I ever make a double batch, this container is perfect. My only concern was the large surface area exposed to air, but I learned to cover the ice cream with parchment paper when it's soft to prevent ice crystals from forming. I was surprised to see the silicone seal under the lid for more secure fit. The lid fits nice and snug. The whole container is dishwasher safe, and fits on the shelf inside the freezer door. The double wall construction gives extra insulation in and out of the freezer. Something to keep in mind, this container did not fit in the door of my side by side freezer, it is too long.
