The 5-rib tread design of the CS1 offers better control year-round, and the ribbed tread ensures sharp steering response and driving stability. The shoulder block placement creates extra biting edges, and is engineered to grip the surface and enhance cornering and maneuvering. The tire also has four circumferential grooves that improve water and slush channeling from the footprint to prevent the chances of hydroplaning in wet weather conditions.
