I bought Thompson's WaterSeal clear coat product to waterproof my four new wood raised garden beds. The waterproofing worked very well because soon after I finished applying two coats it rained. The water only beaded up on the surface. Cleanup was easy with soap and water and I am happy with the clear finish because the wood grain looks nice.
