Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Wood Winston

My little man loves Thomas, so was excited to get this Winston car. He started playing with it immediately, even before we got him to our train tracks. In fact, he's carried him around with him everywhere we've gone for the past couple days. He loves that you can remove the driver as well. My kids absolutely love Thomas and Friends. We have spent the last 5+ years building tracks and collecting the wooden railway set, the Trackmaster series, the Take n Play series, the die cast metal engines, and the Thomas minis. We have gone to visit Thomas on the Thomas Day Out events, and also traveled several hundred miles to Thomas Land. Trains are their thing, and we encourage them to build tracks as I believe it helps them learn tactile skills as well as math, problem solving, and engineering. When we opened the box, my 5 and 7 year old were delighted to see such an adorable Sir Topham Hatt. He legs can bend and he can fit comfortable in various positions inside Winston. Winston rides smoothly on the wooden tracks. His chassis is plastic, but his upper body is wooden like the other cars we have come to love. My 2 year old enjoyed putting Sir Topham Hatt in and out of the car and driving him around the house. The enjoyed reenacting the scene in a film when Sir Topham Hatt has a horrible time driving a stick shift. It's nice to have a Sir Topham Hatt figure to have alongside the trains to play with, as he is a very important part of the series and books. I would recommend this toy to any Thomas and friends fan.
