The StudBuddy Magnetic Stud Finder

The StudBuddy Magnetic Stud Finder is an amazing device and works brilliantly! I've had such hit or miss luck with electronic stud finders over the years because they measure wall density instead of locating the stud, so you get mixed results. But the Stud Buddy is accurate and SO easy to use. The most important note, which Stud Buddy advertises very clearly, is this devices only works on walls with drywall. If you have plaster walls or another material it won't work. To use it you just loosely hold the Stud Buddy against the wall and glide it sideways and when it finds a stud it sticks magnetically. It even moves itself to the dead center of the stud which is why it's so brilliant. You also then have your hands free to mark or use your hammer & nail, or screwdriver & screw, etc. This is such a great product because it works so well and is at an incredibly affordable price. It is rather small, maybe 5" long, so it could be easy to misplace, but it's so affordable you should just buy 2! I highly recommend the Stud Buddy!

The simplest, practical, and downright basic home necessity you will need to purchase for finding studs! I was flabbergasted by how efficient a strong magnet can be. I wish I had bought it years ago! We will never buy an expensive stud finder again. None of the others are more efficient. Easy to use, take it out of the pack place it on the wall, move along the wall horizontally, and BAM! You will find the stud nail.
