- USE & CARE Hand wash thoroughly in hot water using a mild soap or detergent & non-abrasive sponge. Rinse in clean, hot water & towel dry immediately to prevent blades from corrosion. Automatic dishwashers are not recommended as the heat & detergent can damage or stain the blades. The blades of The Pioneer Woman® knives in this set are made from specially formulated, high-alloy steel designed for strength, durability & precision cutting. Although this is premium steel, it can still develop stains if not properly cared for. Do not allow the cutlery to soak in water & do not allow acidic or salty foods & liquids to sit on the blades after use. Allowing these types of substances to sit on the blades can cause staining. Should the blades show signs of staining, use a non-abrasive metal polish to remove the stains. MAINTENANCE These knives are precision ground with razor-sharp edges. It will require periodic maintenance to retain the fine edges. We recommend using a sharpening steel between each use. Professional sharpening should only be done if the knife edges cannot be brought back to a sharp state with a sharpening steel. CAUTION This cutlery is extremely sharp. Use extreme caution when handling to prevent injury. Never use these knives for tasks other than cutting foods & preparing ingredients. Never handle cutlery by the blade. Be sure to keep sharp edges & points away from you when laying cutlery down. Never attempt to catch falling cutlery. Keep all cutlery away from children. If used & cared for properly, these knives will provide superb use for many years.

Great for Small Hands. & Sharp
These sharp knives are great for small hands. I'm a woman with small hands and have trouble finding tools small enough for comfort and easy use. These fit fine. The block is sturdy on my kitchen counter. I'm a knife novice, so I appreciate the pictures on the side of the box telling me which knife does what. I used the 5 inch utility knife to cut thru a raw beef chuck roast to cut it in to smaller hunks and it was like slicing thru air. Amazing.

Beautiful Knife Set
I am very pleased with the quality and beauty of this knife set. The heft of the handles and their ergonomic shape makes using the various utility knives so easy and productive! The steak knives' teal-colored handles match perfectly the teal stripe around my dinnerware pieces, and the counter-worthy wood block holder is also beautifully made. I am very, very pleased with this set and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality set of knives.

Sharp Blades and Design
The first thing I noticed is that the blade steel extends all the way through the handle of this set of knives. This is a sign of high quality construction! The variety of knife sizes and functions is nice with symbols on the handle for quick identification. The block is well designed and solidly built for blade protection and storage. This set even includes a pair of kitchen shears that we use almost daily. Another in a long line of high quality products from the “Pioneer Woman” brand! We use and proudly display many of their products in our kitchen.
