THE HUNTER (1980) WAS STEVE MCQUEEN'S LAST FEATURE FILM HE DIED IN MEXICO RIGHT AFTER HE FINISHED THIS FILM IN 1980). HE FIRST BECAME A STAR PLAYING JOSH RANDALL ON TV SERIES WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE (1958-1961) AND IN 1980 HE AGAIN PLAYED A BOUNTY HUNTER HIS LAST FILM. HIS CO-STARS IN THIS FILM INCLUDED ELI WALLACH (WHO GOT A SPECIAL OSCAR), LE VAR BURTON OF ROOTS FAME, AND BEN JOHNSON (OSCAR WINNER FOR BSA OF 1981). A GREAT FINAL ROLE FOR STEVE "MR COOL" MCQUEEN AND A MUST OWN FILM/DVD FOR HIS MANY FANS.
