I grew up with this children's Bible and bought it for my children. I finally found it again for my grands. The illustrations are beautiful and the stories adapted for their level of maturity. Enough for them to understand the tragedy and seriousness, but not so much as to traumatize them.

A Very Good beginner's Bible

I bought this Bible for my nine-year-old Grandson. I was very pleased with it when it arrived to me. It faithfully follows the Bible but in an older child's form. It leaves out the "begats" and things that would definitely bore an older child. It is NOT a picture book type Bible, but one that is presented in a form that an older child with easily be able to read and follow along with a Bible study with older teens or adults using an adult Bible. I am very impressed with this Bible and know that my Grandson will appreciate it also until he is ready to graduate to a full Bible.
