All I can say is if your SI joint gets messed up--in my case, it was the result of positioning during a medical scan for something else entirely--the pain is incredible. Worst pain on walking and lying in bed in my 70 plus years. I temporarily made due with a long ace bandage wrapped around the area until, thank goodness, this item arrived quickly right at the house. What an instant improvement when I wrapped it on. My hips are about 41" and this circled below my waist with about as much total length as stated in the ad. It's easy to adjust, wide enough that it's not tricky to position it to cover the right places on both the front and back of your pelvis, and the velcro is strong. Then it stays put. I like the black color, although I wish it were all black to make it more subtle if I wear it outside my clothing, perhaps with black pants on. It seems that "things"--probably a ligament--are starting to heal up now and the pain is far less, which I especially notice when carefully moving around a bit without the belt. If I hadn't had this belt, not only would weeks of pain have been far worse, but I do wonder if I would have kept re-injurying the area instead of assisting it to heal.
