Pretty but non-functioning

This thermometer is beautiful but ridiculousy wrong in temperature. Just hung it outside in 10 degree weather. It says 50 degrees. Tapped it after an hour and it finally dropped to 40. Checked it three hours later when it was 6 degrees outside and this thing still says 40 degrees!
