The TUG Retractable Dog Leash allows a maximum of 16 feet for your dog to play, sniff, and do their duty while still being on a leash. This leash has an easy button with the most intuitive locking mechanism: just push the button and move forward to lock the length in place. When you are ready for recall, pull the button back. TUG’s 360° Tangle-Free inlet allows smooth retraction from any angle. The nylon tape is rated for high-strength pulls; please size your leash with your dog's weight accordingly (warning: not for chewers!).

Do not attempt to open the leash casing, as there is a loaded coil spring inside which could be hazardous. Contact manufacturer if there is a problem with the leash. Do not let your dog run to the end of the line, as excessive pull force could pull the user and cause injury. Inspect the nylon leash material before each use and do not use if it is damaged or frayed (watch out for abrasion and biting, as these are the main causes). Do not use the leash if it is damaged or if your dog's collar is damaged - snapback can occur if there is a break and cause serious injury. Do not allow the leash to wrap around any body part.

This unit can be used for up to a 110 pound dog. I bought it for my 15 pound Chihuahua mix. The reason I bought this unit for her is because the handle is much larger and my hand fits in so much easier than one for a small dog. Its comfortable and comes with an extension that clips to the end of the regular leash to protect it from dogs that chew the leash as they are walked. I recommend this!

Enjoy walking the dog
I got this leash to try on my son's dogs. When I got back to town to try the leash, both his dogs ad died unexpectedly. The only thing left to try it on was the cat, and he was not Cooperating! So next best thing is to see what other people use. There are so many kinds of leashes like this out there and it seems people really like to let the dog run all over. I prefer to have more control of my animal, especially around other pets and kids. So I can do that easily with this tug leash. It locks down quickly and I have more control with my pet closer to me and not out 15 feet. If it is just us, the pet can wander a bit, with supervision!
