Directions are Not Good

I bought this to get a jump on my beds this fall. The directions say to use in early spring and late spring. They also give directions according to branch diameter for established plants. I've never seen a strawberry or even a blueberry bush with a branch diameter larger than 3 feet! Furthermore, the instructions are just confusing and don't seem appropriate for the size of package I purchased - 4 lbs. Directions are: Apply 5 lbs. per. 100SF in established garden beds. I'm happy that it's an organic product and the price was good for the amount. I'm going to have to do some calculations and comparisons with similar products to make sure my usage is correct. I'm new to gardening, and I'd appreciate better directions. Or at least directions appropriate to feed the fruits listed on the front of the bag, which is specifically why I purchased this product.
