I ordered them for walking on very rocky beaches and as they do help and are comfortable the soles are kind of thin for super rocky beaches so you do eventually start to feel irritation/soreness in your feet but other than that they work fine for me and I'd definitely recommend them as a decent affordable pair of water shoes. They seem machine washable too, so if you'd like to wash them just throw them in with your regular laundry.! As that's what I do and it has yet to damage them!
