Convert your lighting to dimmable LEDs!

I will admit right here that my husband took these and did all the work to convert our regular inset lights in the den area to dimmable LEDs. This is a baffle, and you will need the other parts (the wiring and the brackets) to change out your fixtures. DO NOT USE unless you have good knowledge of wiring. These are contractor-grade professional items!

Directions were easy to follow for installation

The directions were easy to follow for installation. These Sunco retrofit recessed LED lights are a warm white light, and bright enough for our hallway. A picture is included in this review of the recessed lighting that it replaced. Some of the features of this lighting are, the electrical savings each year, not having to climb a ladder to replace light bulbs, but oddly we are more excited about finding less bugs, moths, and lizards in our recessed light fixtures; which, is not possible with this sort of light fixture. The box states that the light brightness is equal to 75 watt halogen and will last 35,000 hours; or roughly 32 years. What a simple home improvement, that makes a big difference in many ways - the money saved, the look and style, no replacements, and not having to deal with critters. These recessed lights do have the option to be dimmable; however, we are not using the recessed lights this way, but it is a nice option. The brightness is noted as 965 lumens.

Very handy little lights

Very handy little lights! I've been using these for two years now and am happy I bought them. I have placed one over my outside entry so when I come or go at night it will illuminate the area for safety and I can see the key hole. Also use inside the house in areas I might walk at night and no need to turn on the lights. The brightness is sufficient and the 3 aaa batteries last a long time. The batteries in the outside light have been in for six months so far and still shine bright. The lights stay on for about 15 seconds then power off. Highly recommended.
