Better than a heated blanket

With the heat coming from underneath very little is lost. This one has 10 different settings though I have never gone higher than the 5th setting. I usually keep it on 2 or 3 and this is in a room where the night time temperature gets below 50 degrees. It is important that you use a fairly think piece of bedding material over this bad because if all you have is a sheet over it you will feel the wiring.

Sunbeam heated mattress pad

If you're in the market for an electric blanket... buy this instead... I live in an old house with no central heat and use electric radiators to heat my home. I do like sleeping in a chilly room but not a chilly bed, hence; I have always used an electric blanket. Last year I adopted a shelter kitty..he likes the bed and gets under the covers.. no longer a very safe place for an electric blanket. My friend in NH told me about mattress warmers, I had never heard of them. I bought this one and slept with it for the first time last night.. I slept all night !!!! No more cold patches here and there under the blanket.. what a nice, even heat and I can trust this with kitty. I am SO happy to get the bulk of an electric blanket off me. I love this, I really do.
