Lovely plaque, but it came with cracks in the wood

I love the plaque. It is heavier than I thought it would be. Each corner has a plastic covering stapled to the plaque. I imagine to keep it together because there was cracks in the corner of the plaque where the wood split. Since the plastic covering was able to hide the cracks, I kept the plaque, otherwise I would have returned it.
