Stromberg Carlson JET-4500 4500 lbs. Electric Tongue Jack - Black

I liked it's look right out of the box. Everything i needed to install. There is a heavy 10 gauge copper power line long enough to reach where ever you want to protect the inline splice fuse. It even came with a spare fuse. I chose the recommended location inside the battery box. the negative ground for this 12 volt powered motor, is through the chassis of the bolt plate to the tongue. I also chose to lubricate the bare metal with a swipe of grease i applied with a q-tip. The three bolts the jack came with threaded perfectly into my trailer frame, and i torqued to the recommended foot pounds. once mounted and powered up, i flipped the LED lights on. This jack has a forward facing lamp, and one on ech side. This makes for a nice area light, but will come in handy for hooking up hitch ball, and the two anti sway bars on the sides. The jack switch to raise or lower is a hold it in the up or down position. When you let go of the switch, it shuts off the operation. The foot is large for more surface area, and it adjusts 5-6 inches down. And is easily removeable for travel. There is a heavy duty emergency manual crank handle included. i have yet to try it but i did open the water proof cap and the light and lift switches are both water proof as well. As far as maintenance, i plan on buying next, a water proof cover to protect the jack head, motor and plastic casing from dirt, dust and weather such as rain, snow and ice when i store the trailer, or park at camp.
