Striped White Down Comforter Oversized All Season Fill Weight by Royal Hotel - Queen Size

This is DUCK down, not GOOSE down! Because of that, the smell is awful and its strong. They do clearly disclose that its duck. I also did my research and knew there might be a "slight odor", but its not slight. I put it in the dryer on low for 10 minutes with a dozen (literal) dryer sheets and I've had it hanging on a clothes line in the cool sunshine for days now and there is only a slight improvement. Not sure that I'll be able to use it because it smells like a pillow case thats about a week past due for a washing (duck down is much oilier than goose down). If it weren't for the odor, I'd give it 5 stars. It is soft and lofty. Be aware that it comes out of the package completely flat...flat like a bed sheet. I spread it out on top of the guest bed and gently shook the corners every day for 3 or 4 days and it became fluffy. Once I put it in the dryer on LOW, it came out super fluffy with a high loft.

This is nothing like the picture. It's not big and plush, it's not soft and comfy, it's not oversized. It's flat and stiff. For over 100 dollars I was expecting something very different.
