I received this item from the Spark Reviewer program and was asked to provide an unbiased review. The Linksys Velop AC2400 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System has been a welcome addition to my home. I only have access one feasible cost efficient internet provider which provide DSL service. The company provides a wireless modem/router with no frills. The Velop system has added some nice features…parental controls, guest access and device prioritization. However, the best feature is better access through the whole house and better speeds. My office is in my basement with the living area on the above floor. The old modem provided good access in the basement and directly above…but, diminished quickly on either side of the main floor. The Velop system allows one module to be plugged into the modem/router and the next module is plugged into a power outlet in another area/floor of the house. The second module connects wirelessly to the first module and continues broadcasting your internet service. The Velop system works if you have a combination modem/wireless router or just a modem. The system is installed by downloading an app to your smartphone and following the simple instructions. The phone app allows you to control the system and makes changes, such as parental controls. The system automatically searches for your best internet channel and uses it to broadcast. The system also allows you to create your own internet name and password. This was not possible with provided modem from my service provider….it was a long series of numbers and letters. The Velop system also connects to my Amazon Echo and will follow certain commands. I have really enjoyed the Velop system. I have found that I have much better access throughout the home, faster speeds and less issues with devices dropping service. The modules/nodes have a nice sleek look, no antennas…and has a LED light on top that lets you know it is working properly. You can also add modules to your system if you find you need more coverage or move to a bigger space. Overall, I would highly recommend the Linksys Velop Mesh Wi-Fi System to anyone seeking a quality wireless router system backed by a quality company. This system has made my internet experience better within my house.
