Sleek design, good screen, good specs. Get hot/loud

I returned a cheaper MSI laptop, the GL63, to upgrade to this one, mostly because this one has a much better screen. It has much better viewing angles and colors than the cheaper laptop. The cheaper one looked kind of washed out and low-contrast. I would have to constantly move my head around to see all parts of the screen properly. The screen on this GS65 is not the best I have ever seen, but much much better than the GL63. The response time of this screen is kind of slow at 7ms, but I can't notice the difference and most likely you won't either. The case is quite nice and thin. The overall design is very sleek. The screen is a bit on the flimsy side, but for how thin it is I don't think they could do much better. The small bezel around the screen on this laptop is also awesome. The specs for this laptop are great, but be warned it gets hot quite fast and things may get throttled when it hits the max safe temperature for the CPU or GPU. This is kind of unavoidable when packing such powerful chips into such a thin laptop. The keyboard is pretty good, but the thicker old MSI laptops had a bit of a better keyboard. I have been testing this mostly running Archlinux. With Linux, the "hybrid graphics" this laptop uses can cause some issues. I am currently using the NVIDIA proprietary graphics driver which has the nvidia chip always on, vs like windows which only uses the nvidia chip when gaming or doing other gfx/3d intensive things. The nvme SSD speeds are pretty good. I get 1.9 GB/s both read and write. I have not done much other benchmarking yet.
