This PCD (Poly Crystaline Diamond) blade is specifically designed for fiber-cement siding & trim, such as Hardie products (although there are other fiber cement suppliers.) With only 4 teeth, it won't give you a nice clean cut, but with diamond embedded teeth, it will give a decent cut for a long time, where a carbide blade will degenerate into a dusty grinder- not good for your lungs. It's an expensive blade, but if you're doing more than a few cuts, it will pay for itself pretty quickly. Even with a PCD blade, you should wear a mask or use a saw with a dust collector. Pro tip- a lot of laminate flooring is finished with a wear layer containing aluminum oxide, the abrading material in modern sandpaper. It's very hard, so it wears well, but it's also hard on blades. Solution? A PCD blade. As noted, with only 4 teeth, the PCD blade won't give you a nice clean cut, but it will give you a decent cut for a long time. And, FWIW, most flooring cuts are hidden under trim, so appearance is generally not an issue and a carbide blade won't give a clean cut after half an hour anyway. Diablo also sells a blade with more PCD teeth, intended for laminate, a bit more expensive, but worth it if you'll be doing a lot of cutting.
