Technologies:

• Advanced Flow Control: If the demand is greater than what the water heater can handle, the control works by automatically reducing the flow of water slightly, to continue delivering hot water at the desired temperature. No cold water surprises. Advanced Flow Control is exclusive to Stiebel Eltron Tempra Plus models.
• Self Modulation: Not to be confused with flow control. Self modulation ensures that only the least amount of energy is used at all times. Tempra models continually monitor incoming water pressure, flow rate, and the temperature produced. Those sensors feed readings into the unit which engages the heating elements in stages, as efficiently as possible, to achieve desired temperature with the least amount of energy needed.
• Constant Temperature Output: This technology on every Tempra model, ensures a steady output temperature, even if flow rates vary. For example - hot water is being used, and an additional tap is open or closed. The water will maintain a steady temperature even when that flow varies.
• Unlimited Hot Water: Unlike standard tank heaters that only have a specific amount of heated water, Tempra responds directly to the demand without interruption, meaning showers will always be hot, even in succession. Once a standard tank starts to deplete, things can "get cold" pretty quickly and come to a standstill while waiting on more water to heat.
• Energy Saving: Compared to a conventional tank water heater, tankless versions will typically use 15-20% less energy. Conventional tanks heat and store water continually - resulting in a LOSS of 15-20% of total energy.
