Stamina 35-1403 ATS Air Rower Rowing Machine

At the gym, I regularly used a Concept2. That, of course, is the absolute gold standard of rowing machines. When the pandemic closed my gym, I turned to the Stamina Inmotion Rower I had bought quite some time ago. If you are new to fitness and rowing, this is a great little machine. But if you are very fit and an experienced rower, it won't give you the intensity you are looking for. So, after a great deal of research on home rowers, I settle another Stamina product, the Air Rower. I have only had it for a month, so I cannot speak to how well it holds up. But so far, I love it. It uses air resistance, so the harder you row, the more resistance there is. It does not have a damper as does the Concept 2. But I seldom set the damper above 2 or 3 on the Concept 2 anyway. But for those not accustomed to air resistance, just bear in mind--and do some research--about how it works vs. another type of machine that has resistance settings. I am only 5'6, so I can get a full stroke on the Air Rower. If you are very tall and/or an extremely fit athlete, this machine might not be heavy-weight enough for you. But for most people who are fit and miss working out on their Concept2 at the gym, this is an excellent, affordable alternative.

It arrived with everything I needed to put it together. It was easy and I was able to do it alone. A little loud but not horribly. I'm very happy with it.
