Juanita’s Foods Ready to Serve Menudo with Honeycomb Tripe Soup, 25 oz Can

I guess I enjoy this brand most because it's the closest to the taste of my Mom's homemade menudo when I was growing up. She made sure she skimmed all the fat off the top when it congealed and I do the same with the big chunk of congealed fat off the lid of the can. I add fresh chopped onion and fresh lime juice. My siblings will add fresh slices of serrano or their favorite chiles. Add hot corn tortillas rolled up tortillas in between bites of tender menudo in it's perfectly spiced broth and it spells DELICIOUS!

Juanita Menudo is definitely a go-to if you want that delicious Menudo flavor without the restaurant. The honey-comb tripe is interesting looking, but doesn't really add or enhance the base Menudo soup. Try it, yes, but you may find at the end of the day that the original or the extra hot Menudo is the better bang for the buck!
