DeWalt 20V Cordless 7" DA Polisher

First and foremost I am totally amazed with the performance of this battery operated polisher. As with my experience with DeWalt tools it is built to last and very rugged. The size is perfect and the balance of the tool in your hand is spot on when used with the 5AH battery that is included with it. There was much thought designed into the ergonomics of the polisher, all the way down to the battery being placed sideways on the handle. The battery never becomes an issue while using the polisher. It is also user friendly for both Left and Right handed people. I have always used 7" plug in polishers and this will do every thing and more than any plug in polisher I have ever used. With the portability it far surpasses any plug in polisher. And now to the big question I always had with using a battery operated polisher to polish a car, how many batteries would it take to polish a normal size car. To my amazement it polished the entire car on one battery. The even more amazing thing is, the battery never fell bellow 3 lights on the battery charge indicator. With that being said I could have polished both my cars and probably my truck before I would have had to change out the battery. The brushless motor technology has come along way to get this kind of performance and work time on a battery. Not only was the ergonomics well thought out so was the environmental asspects of the polisher. The sound level while polishing at around 2500 rpm is only a measured at the polishing pad 65.4 db. I was able to listen to my DeWalt work sight radio without turning up the volume and disturbing any neighbors. The variable speed control along with the different speed settings is a huge plus. The soft start and the variable trigger means no more polish being slung all over everything. The lack of need for cleaning up splatter is a huge time saver. I finished the entire car and didn't have one drop of splatter on me my garage floor or the windows of my car. As for power this thing is powerful, it never lagged and I don't think you could bog it down, it is a workhorse. I used it with 6" polishng pads because I had no 5" and with the covid 19 pandemic was not able to purchase any. There is not one negative I could find with this tool, not even a nit pick, it is a perfect execution and will replace my plug in polisher. No more messing with extension cords and the tripping hazards that go along with the cords getting in the way. This is a no brainer for anyone trying to decide corded over battery. This does everything a corded polisher does and much more. Its user friendly, environmentally friendly and all around a much safer way to polish. I'm very happy with this tool and my experience with the durability of DeWalt tools I have no doubt it is the last polisher I will ever need. Thanks DeWalt for making my job mush more trouble free. We recently started using this in the finishing steps of table building instead of a much larger and heavier corded orbital buffer and this without a doubt can compete. It's cordless so it gives you so much more mobility and you don't have to worry about the cord dragging on the finished surface and the RPM adjustment is super helpful for being able to get a really clean finish.
