Frosts two 8" or 9" layers, a 13x9" cake or brownies, or up to 24 cupcakes. **Directions for Easy Spreading Frosting **• Stir frosting before using (cold frosting is difficult to spread). **• Cool cake completely. Brush off loose crumbs before frosting. **• Cover and refrigerate leftover frosting for up to 30 days.

I was skeptical when I bought this product, but added it to my cake and this is a great alternative if you're not able to make your own buttercream. I used this frosting on the French vanilla cake mix. With the cake mix and the frosting it tasted like it came from a bakery. We thought it tasted like wedding cake.

Vanilla flavored is slightly bland. I transferred frosting to a bowl and re-whipped it with my electric hand mixer, adding 2 tsp lemon extract, then mixed in sweetened shredded coconut before frosting my cake. Confidant pineapple, lime, cherry or other flavored extracts would work nicely as well.
